A Christmas Story
A few years ago, I was helping my Grandmother decorate her Christmas tree. There was this one Santa ornament that was made of felt, had googly eyes, and his beard was this wild, white faux-fur. To me, he looked like a bum. When my Grandma asked me why I had laid the Santa on one of the branches instead of hanging him, I said “this is Hobo Claus. He’s homeless, so he has to sleep wherever he can” - all in an effort to entertain myself.
The next week, one of my Grandma’s Avon customers came over to her house to pick up her order. As she looked over the tree…
Lady: “Mrs. Ladd, one of your Santa ornaments has fallen!”
Grandma: “Oh, he didn’t fall, he’s asleep. My Grandson did that.”
Lady: “DAAAW, that’s so cute! How old is he?”
Grandma: “He’s 22.”
